about

This album represents our formative years, forging our musical collective in our own little corner of Surrey. Hence 'Children & Lions'; it reflects the long development we have undergone in reaching this point, from our origins still in school to the present, released into the wider world.
We're delighted to finally be able to share.

about

Children & Lions Dorking, UK

A UK band of recent graduates from Surrey. We play semi-instrumental music, which both calmly soothes, and agitates the passions in equal measure. Formed way back in 2009, we meandered our way through school and university making music together and slowly developing our sound. Now free of education, 'Children & Lions' both embodies that journey, and signals our foray into the wider musical world. ... more

Track Name: Bridge Too Far
Nothing's too far when you've been at the bar
Until you can't control your car
A bridge too far
And you can't ignore
The gaudy lights on the hospital doors.
Track Name: Cold Knees
Never has a tree looked
So untouched by modern men
The bitter fens winds
Still burn modern skin

Cold knees hit floor
They wanted nothing more

His mother's weary face
It sobers childhood drenched in light
Our friendships pass
But none so cruel and sharp

Cold knees hit floor
I wanted nothing more
Track Name: Crescent
See, I'm still crescent
Wear my shoes for one day
Track Name: Fuel To The Fire
I trod on your heels
And quivered
Fuel to the fire
That I'll extinguish

Make it safe on your own
Because memories fold
And I'm letting it go
Make it safe on your own
Because promises fold
And I'm letting it go
